St. Mary's is basically a 13th-century building, but was enlarged and remodelled in 15th century and again in the 19th century, so the building's history is hard to decipher. As the community grows, so indeed does the church!
This large church feels grand yet welcoming as you walk in and it’s well worth calling into to appreciate the historical importance of it. The cemetery outside is also home to the legendary Dusty Springfield who used to live in Henley and was taken too soon from us.
This card is sponsored by Mercers Solicitors, a local firm who are very much part of the community and supporters of St Mary’s. Their New Street office is just around the corner and they specialise in wills probate, inheritance disputes, residential property and litigation. They’re one of the Thames Valley’s oldest law firms dating back to 1827.
If you have the 2023 pack, this shows Mill Meadows which is now the eight of spades.
